Fulham are preparing to offer Willian a contract extension in recognition of the Brazilian’s winger brilliant performances since he joined the club in September.

The 34 year-old moved to Craven Cottage after cancelling his Corinthians contract and has quickly become a regular as Marco Silva’s side have stormed to seventh in the Premier League table. The former Chelsea and Arsenal wide man has scored twice and added three assists in fourteen appearances this season with his consistent quality belying his age. Willian memorably opened the scoring against old club as Fulham won their first SW6 derby in seventeen years earlier this month.

Silva had previously suggested that the club would discuss with Willian the potential for a new deal at the end of the season, but the Whites are now working on a one or two-year extension, according to reports from Brazil.
