Those of us who were at Selhurst Park yesterday would have missed the wonderful post-match interview following Fulham’s fine win over Crystal Palace with Marco Silva conducted by a combination of Jim Rosenthal, Roy Hodgson and Steve Sidwell.
It is well worth watching in full:
There are tactical insights galore, including how Andreas Pereira dropped onto Cheick Doucoure in a manner reminiscent of how Chris Coleman stopped Claude Makele with Steed Malbranque in the SW6 derby win all those days ago, and moments of magical mutual respect between Marco and Roy. All in all, it is a magisterial seven minutes of broadcasting, brilliantly helmed by the ever-excellent Rosenthal, and there’s a little lovely look ahead to what Fulham have planned on Saturday to honour George Cohen at Craven Cottage.
Fantastic Interview featuring two FFC legends. Roy will always be my favourite ever manager for what he and the team achieved and Steve always gave100% in every game. I truly believe that Marco could also become legendary given the time and resources to shine. Thank you Jim for bringing these three together. The tribute to GC will be an emotional one for those of us who recall his playing days.
Any chance this link can be made available to international viewers?
Not without breaking the broadcasting regulations Alex I’m afraid and I don’t want to have the site shut down. I will see whether Amazon have any plans to allow clubs or broadcasters to circulate the clip internationally, though. There is a small snippet on the official Fulham FC Twitter account.
