Glasgow Rangers are lining up a January move for Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah, according to Football Insider.

The former Tottenham trainee is a favourite of Michael Beale, who recently left Queens Park Rangers to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox. Beale tried to take 25 year-old to Loftus Road in the summer and could make the former England under-21 international one of his first signings as he looks to add engine room reinforcements when the transfer window reopens.

Onomah has made just two league appearances under Marco Silva this season, with his last involvement coming in the dying embers of Fulham’s defeat at the hands of Manchester United before the winter break for the World Cup. The Lambeth-born midfielder made 37 appearances in his first season at Craven Cottage under Scott Parker – scoring four goals – but became a peripheral figure following Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League.

He featured just seventeen times in Silva’s first term in charge, as the Whites swept to the Championship title, and has fallen behind summer signing Joao Palhinha in the Portuguese head coach’s pecking order.
