The Fulham Lillies outside the Bishop’s Park Tea House at their first meet-up before the friendly against Villarreal

As part of Hammyend’s women’s football month, we chatted to Fulham Lillies co-founders Sarah Keig, also on the Fulham Supporters’ Trust board and working on the FA’s national women’s game review, Amelia Armstrong – Fulham’s Her Game Too ambassador, and Hayley Davinson, another member of the Trust’s board and author of a chapter in the Football, She Wrote anthology of female football writing published by Floodlit Dreams.

The conversation around female fans’ experience at Fulham and nationally is particularly pertinent given that the Lillies have made great strides since setting up in the summer. These fabulous female Fulham fans are also keen to promote Fulham FC Women, who play their first game at Craven Cottage for two decades against AFC Wimbledon in the Capital Cup on Sunday 20 November. Please do buy a ticket for that historic fixture if you haven’t already.

Many thanks to Sarah, Amelia and Hayley for sparing the time to talk to us about Fulham, the female fan experience and why the women’s game deserves all of our support.
