In a brilliant interview with the Athletic’s Peter Rutzler this morning, Neeskens Kebano has revealed that is loving playing under Marco Silva and his family now fully considers Fulham to be home.

The Congolese winger, who made his 150th appearance for the club against Newcastle earlier this month, says that last season’s Championship-winning campaign was the most enjoyable season of his career. The 30 year-old relished having a regular role in the team – having been revitalised by Silva and his number two Luis Boa Morte – and scored nine goals in forty league appearances as the Whites romped to the league title.

Kebano, a popular member of the squad and a cult hero for the fans, was full of praise for Silva and his coaching staff:

“They give you all the tools to perform well. Tactically, what you need to do off the ball, all of those things. They don’t let you run in random positions, you need to understand what you’re doing on the pitch at every single second of the game. And then, they let you express yourself with your quality. They won’t ask Mitro to run the channel every time, to pass the ball in the space. They know he can hold the ball. So they understand our quality and then make the most of our quality. So that’s why I could play that way.”

The former Genk and PSG wide player certainly feels at home at Craven Cottage.

“’m grateful. I’m grateful to be there. If you say to my wife or to my kids, ‘What is home?’, they will say ‘Fulham’.”
