Full back Luciano D’Auria-Henry is eyeing a return to winning ways for Fulham’s under 21s against Blackburn Rovers at Motspur Park this evening.

Steve Wigley’s side were held to a 1-1 draw at Tottenham last Saturday – and had Alex Borto’s late penalty save to thank for coming away with a point – and the Ealing-born right back knows that the young Whites will need to improve on that showing to beat Blackburn.

D’Auria-Henry told the club’s official website:

“Preparations have been good, we’ve been working hard as we are eager to get back to winning ways but we also know that Blackburn won’t be an easy game. Last weekend we played a tough Spurs side and we didn’t perform to our usual standards, but this week we’re determined to get the three points in front of the fans and put on a good show.”

The teenager feels Fulham have coped well with stepping up a level so far after winning promotion to the top flight last term.

“The quality of the division has been a big step up from last year. Every game is a test and we have to go into each one at one hundred per cent or we will get punished. I think we’ve stepped up a Ievel this year and shown we’re not an easy side to play against.”
