Tim Ream wants Fulham to put themselves in a strong position by winning at Nottingham Forest on Friday before the Premier League pauses for an international break.

The American centre back told FFCTV this afternoon:

“We’re not completely satisfied with where we are because we feel like we’ve had some games where we could have picked up some more points. Overall, eight from six going into a game against Forest, we can’t be too unhappy with that.

The manager and his staff constantly push us to improve and to keep the standards high, but they are also very good at making sure that confidence is high at all times. All credit to them for the start and credit to the players as well because we’re buying into everything that they are asking.”

Ream is revelling in the Indian summer of his career as he has formed a strong partnership with Tosin Adarabioyo and looked

There’s always going to be question marks from past performances, but to this point – six games in – I couldn’t ask for a better start personally. The team doing well is the main focus for us and If I’m contributing in any way possible, then I’m obviously going to be pleased. I’m fully focused on what I need to do here and to stay in team and be in tip top shape and form. Anything else is a bonus. [International selection] is not something I am thinking about at all.

The St. Louis-native says the Fulham squad are raring to go against Nottingham Forest.

Really looking forward to it. We’re looking forward to getting back on the pitch and play a competitive. We’re obviously going to go there and look to get three points – but to get back into that week of training ahead of a game is really good. You kind of treat it like an international break. We had a good, hard Friday session instead of a light session and a good intra-squad game on Saturday.

We approach every match the same way. We’re going to go and try and get three points. We know if we can get in front early, the way a lot of the fans are, they can kind of turn quickly if we have a good start. It is a important game on Friday night. It is important to get points on the board and put ourselves in a good position coming out of the international break.
