Fulham winger Ivan Cavaleiro is poised to join Alanyaspor on loan for the remainder of the season, according to reports from Turkey.

The former Portuguese international – who switched his international allegiance to Angola – is considered surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage by Marco Silva and has not made a matchday squad this season. Cavaleiro appeared set to join Olympiacos last week but the Greek side have no need for another winger after being loaned Josh Bowler by Nottingham Forest on the English transfer deadline day. Olympiacos are also owned by Evangelos Marinakis, who has spent big on the Trent to support Steve Cooper following Forest’s promotion to the Premier League.

Cavaleiro, who cost Fulham £15m in total, has scored seven goals in 78 appearances for the Cottagers but his last Fulham appearance was as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat at West Brom last March. The 28 year-old has arrived in Alanya to complete the formalities of his loan move with the Turkish transfer window closing tomorrow. Alanyaspor are currently thirteenth in the Super Lig with five points from five matches.
