Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz has signed for Middlesbrough on a season-long loan, the club confirmed this morning.

The Brazilian striker, who picked Craven Cottage over the Riverside when he left Flamengo last summer, scored five goals in 23 matches as the Whites won the Championship last season. The 21 year-old was largely used as Aleksandar Mitrovic’s understudy – and with first-team chances at a premium in the Premier League to date – Fulham have opted to allow him to gain more experience of English football with Boro.

The Whites are believed to be close to announced the signing of a new striker themselves, with reports linking them with a permanent move for Brighton’s French forward Neal Maupay.
