Kevin Betsy signed for Fulham from his hometown club Woking in September 1998 for £80,000. He progressed quickly through the youth team ranks featuring under Kevin Keegan, who handed Betsy his senior debut at Liverpool in the League Cup in 1998. Betsy featured regularly in the second half of that season as Fulham won the Second Division title and scored his only senior goal for the club against Millwall. He made five appearances as the Whites won promotion from Division One under Jean Tigana and made his Premier League debut on the opening day of the following campaign in a memorable 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford. Betsy joined Barnsley permanently after a successful loan spell in March 2002.
