Fulham have tabled an offer for Blackburn forward Ben Brereton Diaz, according to the Athletic’s David Ornstein.

The Chilean international is in the final year of his contract at Ewood Park and the Whites are ready to test Rovers’ resolve to keep hold of their 23 year old talisman after Nice had an £8.5m bid rejected last month. Brereton Diaz hit 22 goals for Blackburn last term and has scored three times in seven league outings in this campaign.

Fulham boss Marco Silva is seeking further forward resources to supplement the threat posed by red hot Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has scored five goals in as many Premier League games. The fact that Brereton Diaz can also operate wide on the left might allow the Stoke-born striker to deputise for the injured Harry Wilson or Manor Solomon on the wing.
