Issa Diop is undergoing his medical at Motspur Park ahead of his proposed £15m from West Ham to Fulham.
The 25 year-old French defender is on the cusp of becoming Marco Silva’s latest signing as the Whites seek to strengthen their defence. Diop had been disappointed that West Ham had failed to reach agreement with Fulham over a transfer earlier in the window and is believed to contest David Moyes’ assertion, made after the Hammers’ opening weekend defeat at Manchester City, that he had made himself unavailable for recent matches.
Silva had sought central defensive reinforcements all summer after the release of Alfie Mawson and Michael Hector left the Portuguese head coach with only two senior centre halves in Tosin Adarabioyo and Tim Ream. That pair played well to keep Liverpool at bay on Saturday, with loan signing from Brighton Shane Duffy introduced as a late substitute as Fulham sought to hang on to a point.
Almost there, Diop’s been been on the radar since early in the window. Let’s hope its completed… add Denayer on a freebi and possibly one or both of kluivit and Zirkzee and then let the youngsters have a go.
If we get these it will be a very good window and with Marco at the helm we have more than a good chance of staying up… COYW’s..!!!

Diop , Denayer , Kluivert and Zirkzee ! It all seems possible from what I am reading . All long term acquisitions no loans and with the current team that kicked off the season looks like quality and depth. If this all ends up
like this we will be praising TK rather than putting him in the dock ! Come on Marco Silva’s Black and White Army ! ….. BTW any news on Solomon injury? … only read it here on Hammyend , no one else has reported and no statement from the club?
PEZ, I’ve read the information about Solomon’s injury on Peter Rutzler’s Twitter, he writes at The Athletic. He’s always well informed about what’s going on in FFC.
He says Solomon has a knee injury but can’t clear how bad it’s until further information is given during the week by club, so not much more there.
I’ve read other reports about a “Tear Meniscus” and out for 3 months…. no idea if credible.
I’ll keep my fingers crosses!
