The news this afternoon from the sun and various Portuguese outlets are saying that sporting Lisbon midfielder João Palhinha will travel to England on Monday ahead of sealing his move to Craven cottage.

Palhinha is set to sign a 5 year deal and double his wages after Fulham moved to hijack the move when Wolves looked most likely to sign the Portugal international.

Marco Silva targeted his countryman as one of his key signings this window and after weeks of will he won’t he it now looks all but certain that he will play for Fulham next season.

Fulham are set to pay €20m euros for the defensive midfielder who is seen a big coup for the west London side and key cog in the whites chances of keeping their premier League status this coming season.
