Fulham will prepare for their Premier League return by participating in a three-team tournament during their pre-season tour of Portugal next month.
Marco Silva’s men will take on Nice and Benfica on successive days as the continental sides compete for the Algarve Trophy on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July at the Estadio Algarve in Faro.
Nice, who finished fifth in Ligue 1 under the stewardship of Christophe Geltier, and Benfica, who will desperate to improve on a third-place finish that saw them trail champions Porto by seventeen points, promise to provide a stern examination of Fulham’s credentials as they look to avoid another single season stay in the top flight.
