Fulham and West Ham are locked in a tense battle to sign Italian international full back Luca Pellegrini, who is ‘destined to leave Juventus this summer, according to reports from Italy this weekend.

Saturday’s Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that the left back’s agent Vincenzo Raiola was holding discussions with the two Premier League sides about a potential move to London. The 23 year-old has struggled to settle in Turin since signing from Roma in 2019, taking in loan spells at Caligari and Genoa, before making just appearances for the Bianconeri last season.

Pellegrini is keen to play regular football and Juventus are ready to try and cash in on the attacking left back. West Ham, who had been linked with a move last January, have reignited their interest as David Moyes considers selling Arthur Masuaku. Fulham, previously mentioned as possible Masuaku suitors, are also looking at strengthening at left back – with Alex Moreno and Zaidu Sanusi having been reportedly high on the Whites’ target list.
