Marco Silva hailed Fulham’s victory over Blackburn Rovers ‘as a massive win’ in their promotion push.

The Championship leaders extended their advantage at the top of the table to eleven points after first half strikes from Neeskens Kebano and Harry Wilson saw off Blackburn at Craven Cottage this lunchtime.

The Fulham boss told FFCTV after the final whistle:

“A massive win. First, we congratulate our players and thank our fans for the support. A very good first half from ourselves. Quality on the ball and a fantastic reaction when we lost it as well. We knew before the match they can create problems on the counter-attack, we controlled it very well. We had some very good moments. We were the best team on the pitch definitely.

In the second half, we expected a reaction from them. Some moments we should move the ball quicker, we have to be more patient when you are winning 2-0. We don’t need to rush all of our decisions and control the game better. Winning 2-0 at home against a contender at home is a big result. The clean sheet is fantastic for us and a good feeling.”
