Fulham full back Antonee Robinson played the full ninety minutes as the United States inched closer to qualifying for the World Cup finals in Qatar by earning a goalless draw in Mexico.
The point consolidates the USA’s position in second place in the CONCACAF standings, with 22 points, and a win over Panama in Orlando on Sunday should virtually assure them of a place in the finals. It might have been even better for Gregg Berhalter’s side as they dominated a feisty encounter but Christian Pulisic spurned their best chances. Mexico were limited to merely a couple of openings as Robinson, effective at left back, played his part in keeping a clean sheet.
