Fulham’s under 23s have been drawn at home to Newcastle United in the second round of the Premier League Cup.

The tie will take place at Fulham’s Motspur Park training ground this Friday, 4 March, with a 2pm kick off. Steve Wigley’s side, who clinched the Premier League 2 Second Division title with victory over Aston Villa, won 6-1 at Newcastle in the league last month with sixteen year-old Luke Harris scoring a hat trick inside eleven minutes.

Fulham qualified for the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup by winning five of their six matches and finishing top of the group – only dropping points in a goalless draw at Colchester. Newcastle, who reached the final of this competition in 2019, qualified from their group with a game to spare – finishing second on ten points.
