Fulham winger Harry Wilson has won the PFA’s fans’ Championship player of the month award for January.
Welsh international Wilson won 27.4% of the votes – finishing well ahead of international team-mate Tom Lawrence, with the Derby skipper on 21%. Fellow Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has won the award three times already this season, was in third with 20%.
Wilson shone as the Whites went through last month unbeaten, scoring 24 goals in six games. He started the month in sensational style bagging a brace and adding three assists as Marco Silva’s men scored seven at Reading and laid on one of the goals as Fulham followed that up with a 6-2 thumping of Bristol City at Craven Cottage.
