Steven Sessegnon is poised to make his first appearance for Plymouth after enduring a frustrating start to his loan spell in the south west due to a hamstring injury.

The Fulham full back, who made a loan move to the League One outfit on transfer deadline day, has not featured in any of Argyle’s first three fixtures since he signed at Home Park due to the problem that had disrupted his season at Craven Cottage. Manager Steven Schumacher is set to include Sessegnon in his squad for Saturday’s trip to struggling Gillingham having decided against risking him in the weekend win over Shrewsbury after fitness concerns over Dan Scarr.

The England under-21 international has not featured under Marco Silva this campaign and the Championship leaders were happy to secure him some senior football on loan for the remainder of the season.
