Denis Odoi has ended his five year spell with Fulham by joining Club Brugge tonight for a fee believed to be in the region of £585,000.

The 33 year-old defender was a hugely popular figure at Craven Cottage, famously heading Fulham to Wembley with the winner in the play-off semi final against Derby in 2018. He turned heads almost immediately after he arrived from Lokeren in 2016, with a dazzling piece of control off his back during his debut against Newcastle United.

Odoi was a consistently dependable member of the Fulham back four, playing both at right and left back before coming in at centre half as Slavisa Jokanovic’s side went on a memorable 23-match unbeaten run to finish the Championship season in 2018. The Belgian international made 177 appearances in total for the Whites, scoring seven goals, and admirably stepped in to replace Kenny Tete as Marco Silva’s men consolidated their hold on top spot in the Championship this season.
