Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic is among the nominees for the Championship player of the month award.
The Serbian striker scored six goals in January and added a four two assists as the Whites firmly established themselves at the top of the table. The 27 year-old was at the double at Reading after Fulham’s long festive break and bagged a first half hat trick at Bristol City before scoring against Blackpool. His outstanding tally of goal involvements is all the more remarkable considering that he missed the win at Stoke City after catching coronavirus.
Mitrovic’s competition for the award, which he won in October, comes from Blackpool goalkeeper Dan Grimshaw, Bristol City’s striker Antoine Semenyo and QPR midfielder Chris Willock.
