Kevin McDonald made an impressive return to professional football tonight – coming through 73 minutes as his new club Dundee United won 2-0 against Motherwell to move into fourth place in the Scottish Premiership.
The former Fulham midfielder, who signed a short-term deal at Tannadice Park after impressing whilst training with the club, hadn’t played since July 2020 having had a kidney transplant earlier this year. The Scottish international enjoyed an assured return at the heart of Tam Courts’ midfield as United eased to victory with goals from Dylan Levitt and Tony Watt.
Thank you Kevin, assured performance.
This is brilliant news, Kevin was a top servant for us & I think he will be a big success North of the border.
Top man. Really pleased for him. Long may he command the defensive midfield!
Really impressed tonight after being out for so long need to give him a longer contract if he continues this way.
Good luck to the Big Man he will make them a better team great servant to us and a Massive influence on the team when he was here hopefully one day he may come back as a coach
