Fulham manager Marco Silva says a loan would be ‘a very good solution’ for defender Terence Kongolo, who has struggled to recover from a succession of injuries at Craven Cottage.
The Holland international was sidelined by a broken foot that ended his loan spell at Fulham and has made just four appearances since making a permanent move from Huddersfield in October 2020. The Athletic’s Peter Rutzler broke the news that Fulham would listen to offers for Kongolo during the January transfer window and Silva told his pre-match press conference before tomorrow’s game against Reading:
“You haven’t seen Terence because he wasn’t in the [right] condition, that’s the main thing. One thing is to train, the other is to be in condition to compete at a high level, at a high intensity. Kongolo, wasn’t and is still not, in this condition. He needs to play more. He needs to play games. A loan option would be a very good solution for him, because he’s a player that we believe has the quality, and needs to play more games and go somewhere where he can play.”
Wish him well. Whenever he’s played for us he’s done ok.
We have this new association with Dundee U – why not loan him to them?
You really think someone who has played premier league football and for the Dutch national team will want to sign for Dundee?
