Napoli are keeping a close eye on Fulham centre back Tosin Adarabioyo with a view to signing him this summer, according to reports from Italy.

The Serie A side, who are expected to convert Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa’s loan from Craven Cottage into a permanent move at the end of the season, are already considering candidates to improve their defence as they plan a summer rebuild. Today’s Corriere dello Sport claims that Napoli’s scouts have been impressed with Adarabioyo’s excellent performances in the Championship this season, although the accuracy of their reports must be called into question by the assertion that can fill in at right back.

Napoli are said to hope they could sign the 24 year-old for less than his estimated £12.5m valuation as he enters the final twelve months of his current contract. But Adarabioyo signed a three-year deal when joining from Manchester City in September 2020, which includes an option for the club to extend for a further year. Fulham retained the services of commanding defender, who scored his second goal of the season in Tuesday’s rout of Reading, last summer despite his £10m release clause and would be confident of enticing Adarabioyo to a longer term deal should win promotion back to the Premier League.
