Rodrigo Muniz has been officially awarded Fulham’s second goal at Stoke City, the club have confirmed this afternoon.
The Brazilian striker clearly touched home Fabio Carvalho’s shot to put Marco Silva’s side ahead at the Bet 365 Stadium, but the goal was initially credited to Carvalho. Both players claimed it in a jovial post-match interview with FFCTV – and the EFL’s dubious goals panel has decreed that Muniz’s touch was decisive.
Muniz’s brace now takes his Fulham tally to five goals for the season since he joined from Flamengo in August.
