Former Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald is training with Dundee United, according to the Daily Record.

United have given McDonald the use of their training facilities as he looks to restart his playing career having had a successful kidney transplant last year. The 33 year-old left Fulham in the summer after four years at Craven Cottage, during which he won two promotions from the Championship and made 127 appearances for the Whites.

The former Scottish international briefly trained with his first club Dundee last October and has now been given another opportunity to boost his fitness by their city rivals, who announced a collaboration with the Cottagers last week.
