Fulham winger Sylvester Jasper says he has grown in confidence following a successful loan spell with Colchester United.

The 20 year-old scored three goals in 24 games on loan at the League Two outfit and was rewarded with his first appearances for Bulgaria’s under 21 side as a result. Jasper, who featured for Fulham’s under 23 side in their defeat at Southampton last week, told the club’s official website:

“I feel much more capable and confident since returning to Fulham and so my main target now is to push for a place in Marco’s squad and hopefully pick up some first Team minutes along the way. I found it really educational playing regular senior football. I loved playing in front of big crowds every week and really enjoyed my time there. My performances progressed as I got more comfortable and I felt the love from the fans throughout.”

Jasper is expected to be a part of Steve Wigley’s squad at Stoke this evening as the under 23s look to bounce back from their Southampton setback.
