Hull City are lining up a loan move for Fulham full back Steven Sessegnon before the end of the January transfer window, according to reports this afternoon.

The England under-21 international is eager to gain first team football having yet to feature under Marco Silva and Fulham are understood to be open to loaning him out for the remainder of the season. Sessegnon, who has featured for Steve Wigley’s under 23s at right back and in midfield this term, spent some time with Bristol City on loan last season but had his spell at Ashton Gate cut short due to injury.

The Fulham academy graduate is behind Kenny Tete and Denis Odoi in Silva’s pecking order for right backs and is understood to be in the thoughts of a number of Championship clubs as they plot their final moves of the transfer window. Hull are looking to add defensive depth to new manager Shota Arveladze’s squad and Sessegnon could provide both technical ability and experience.
