Fulham are one of a number of Championship clubs keen on signing Blackpool winger Josh Bowler, according to Teamtalk.
The Chertsey-born winger spent two years in Fulham’s academy before released in 2011 and has made a habit of reminding the Whites of his talents since then. He scored in Hull City’s 3-0 win at Craven Cottage in 2019 whilst on loan from Everton and grabbed the Seasiders’ winner as Blackpool inflicted Marco Silva’s first defeat as Fulham boss back in September.
Stoke, Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest are all reportedly interested in signing the 22 year-old but Blackpool will fiercely resist any bids this month. The Tangerines are ready to trigger one-year extension on the contract Bowler signed in June in order to strengthen their bargaining position as well. Neil Critchley, doing a terrific job at Bloomfield Road, has already dismissed speculation linking one of his star players with a move elsewhere.
Solid player, but do we really need another winger? Even if Knockaert is gone, we still are deep at this position.
