Fulham remain confident that Fabio Carvalho will sign a new contract with the club, according to Sky Sports News.
The talented teenage playmaker has been heavily linked with a January move to Liverpool over the past few days with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season. Carvalho, 19, took his goal tally for this term to seven as he bagged a brace in last night’s 6-2 thrashing of Birmingham City at Craven Cottage last night.
Fulham sources have told Sky Sports this evening that they are still hopeful that the England youth international will commit his future to the club. They say that the lines of communication between the youngster’s representatives and the club’s hierarchy remain open and believe that the player’s positive relationship with head coach Marco Silva and the prospect of Premier League football next season can convince Carvalho to stay with the Cottagers.
Makes sense for his development playing every game will only improve him. If he is a great as people think then he has a long and prosperous career ahead of him at a big club like Barca but fulham will give him away rather than let Liverpool screw them again
Fabio should look at the way sessegnons career has gone since he left Fulham hope he don’t make the same mistake.
If we get promoted he gets:
Decent money, 1st team Prem football and happy environment….so he stays
If we don’t get promoted he gets: Less than his market rate money, another season in the Championship OR in a top European league as a bit part player and very big money.
Can’t blame the little fella for waiting to see what happens. Hopefully we go up and this all becomes a done deal
Why can’t he sign as, if I remember correctly, Sessegnon did on a new four year contract with a realistic release clause, so we make sure we don’t screwed over? Then if the Liverpool’s of this World are serious, they can pay serious money; e.g. £25M.
Marco Silva seems to have Carvalho tucked under his wing, it probably all stems on convincing a greedy agent who has more interest in lining his pocket than looking after the kids footballing future.
What is Carvalho going to gain going to Liverpool now just to play in the reserves and with the likelihood of fulham going up why move to Southampton? or any club come to think of it.Stay at Fulham,enjoy your football and bide your time for a move ,gat a season with Fulham in the premiership,look what happened to Sessenghan,don’t make the same mistake
Fabio. Stay with FFC. Going to any of these so called big clubs means parking your backside for four years. They are a waste of time. Loaned out etc. Ryan Sessegnon was given a load of bs by Totti as to how they would get him in the England side. Lol. Loaned out and wasted four years. Don’t make the same mistake.
Fabio please stay at Fulham I think you owe us supporters that much,at least give us a year or two in the premiership, look what happened to Sessegnon, greed doesn’t always work out and agents are only worried about lining their own pockets.Fulham have been good to you so think it over.

I hope Carvalho takes Silvas sensible advise and signs a new contract with a buy out clause which includes our club playing in the premiership. However I suspect his agents will advise him otherwise. More interested in themselves than the person they are representing
