Colchester United are still trying to extend Sylvester Japser’s loan from Fulham until the end of the season, according to the Daily Gazette.

The 20 year-old winger has impressed during his loan spell with the League Two outfit, scoring three times in 24 appearances, and earning international recognition for the first time with the Bulgarian under-21 side. But his current loan expired at the start of January and U’s boss Hayden Mullins revealed after last night’s Football League Trophy tie at Sutton United that discussions between all parties continue with Colchester aiming to keep hold of the left winger until the close of this campaign.
