Barnsley are interested in taking over Fulham’s loan of Domingos Quina from Watford, according to the BBC Radio 5 Live football correspondent Ian Dennis.

There is a shared acknowledgement between Watford and Fulham that the Portuguese attacking midfielder’s loan at Craven Cottage has not worked out. The Hornets are keen to get Quina some more regular first-team football for the remainder of the season after he has featured just four times under Marco Silva since September.

A switch to Swansea City was rumoured last week, but the chances of that deal coming to fruition now appear remote. Instead, it looks like the Championship’s bottom side could be Quina’s next destination – possibly as soon as this afternoon.
