Fulham’s game at Swansea City, scheduled for Monday 3 January, is the latest Championship fixture to be postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
The Welsh side informed the EFL this morning that they would not be able to fufil the fixture due to their current coronavirus outbreak. This is the third Fulham fixture since Christmas to be postponed following the Boxing Day game against Blackburn and an away trip to Reading, which was due to have taken place last night.
I presume the League check the Covid/injury position on all postponements?
The fact that this game would have been played with no spectators wouldn’t have been a factor in this decision would it?? – surely not!!!
For once I agree with Gary Neville. EFL needs to be tougher on these teams. We had to play at least two games with a virus-hit squad, but it wasn’t Covid so we had to bite the bullet.
Totally agree what’s going on here our squad seems to be Ok at the moment EFL not strong enough they need to see proof from these teams perhaps not just a phone call or email it stinks our opposition seem to get away with it we have to show our NHS passport to enter venues for vaccination purposes why can’t the EFL show some Balls on this at least somebody from EFL to say how they are notified about COVID from these teams
