Fabio Carvalho has rejected Fulham’s offer of a new contract, according to the Sun’s Tom Barclay.
The teenage starlet has turned down what Barclay describes as ‘a substantial offer’ and further negotiations are now unlikely with Carvalho’s current deal expiring at the end of this season. Carvalho has been linked with a hosts of European clubs and the nineteen year-old has apparently been watched by representatives from at least ten Premier League sides this season.
He has just returned to Marco Silva’s squad, appearing as a late substitute in Saturday’s 3-0 win over West Brom, after missing nine matches through a combination of a toe injury and coronavirus. The attacking midfielder made five appearances under Scott Parker last season, with all of his league games coming after Fulham had been relegated from the top flight. He started the new campaign in fine form under Silva and has scored three times this term – adding a single assist.
Don’t play him
Greedy bastard. Agencies love money sadly
its from the sun so 100% rubbish. last thing heard from the club is waiting for him to switch agents in January before signing a new deal
I agree with Dave Woolf . Dont play him . Freeze him out . Its like Harvey Eliot all over again .
Tot your talking rubbish,Tom Barclay of the Sun is a good football journalist(and also a Fulham fan)so he gets to know things from the club.
I’ve also heard that Fabio has contacted Elliot and wants to join Liverpool.
It has to be a mindset that has been allowed to develop … that an unscrupulous agent would do this has to have been anticipated in Academy times … that the media will stoke ideas if a player comes good has to have been anticipated by those who nurture the on field skills … that we’ve been there negotiating before and ‘lost’ should surely be in the minds of those responsible for negotiatihg …. Surely thinking skills need to be inculcated when young to help an individual recognise when they are being exploited (teaching packs have been available since at least the seventies). Surely negotiators must question their approach when results with the young keep failihg … a course in understanding the teenage human psyche?
Not playing him sounds like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Might as well get the most out of him while he’s still with us. It would have been nice if he could have signed a new deal with a high release clause so that FFC could have benefited. Don’t you just love football agents? Make they rot in Hell.
Sad very sad .stay fot two yrs and develop and move on !!!Agents ruining football !!
Another youngster having his head turned by greedy agents who just want to feather their own nest. They couldn’t care less about his footballing future just want to earn a fast buck. When will the game do something to rid us of these parasites?
He obviously doesn’t care about the club that has nurtured him through the academy. Let him go and become another Patrick Roberts.
Shove him in the U23’s and get Stanfield in the starting eleven.
Reputedly a contract of 25k / week (plus bonuses) at NINETEEN!! Most normal people would view that as a bumper pay day!
If this is true, he wants to go and we should sell. In terms of playing him, do whatever results in the highest sale price.
The best we can hope for is an English club signs him in January for a fee, then loans him back to us for the rest if the season, As usual with our young player the club leaves it far too late to offer them contracts and the way things are done urgently needs reviewing
It’s so annoying Fulham put all there energy into giving these young players there dream of playing football for a club then they have there heads turned by greedy agents ,no loyalty towards Fulham, but hey ho no player is bigger than the club !!
Better getting himself established at Fulham
If he does move he will play a few games then left to rot on the bench you only have to look at sessanyonge to Tottenham at least if he stays with fulham and he is fit then he should start every game
