Fulham striker Jay Stansfield got himself on the scoresheet as England’s under 20 side thrashed the Czech Republic this afternoon in Teplice.

Stansfield had a big part to play in England’s opening goal, seizing possession on the edge of the Czech Republic box and allowing Arsenal’s Miguel Azeez to find the top corner with a stunning strike from 20 yards. The Fulham striker gave England some breathing space four minutes into the second half when he followed up Morgan Rogers’ speculative strike and his close-range effort was deflected into the net.

Stansfield wasn’t finished there, releasing Rogers down the left wing with a precise pass and the Bournemouth loanee crossed for Tino Anjorin to make it 3-0. Rogers and James Hill added further goals after Stansfield had been substituted as the young Lions eased to victory.
