Fulham winger Sylvester Jasper is closing to completing a season-long loan move to Colchester United, according to the Athletic.

The teenager is set to move to the League Two side to gain more first team experience after making five senior appearances for Fulham. Jasper had spent part of this pre-season on trial with Sheffield Wednesday, but Owls boss Darren Moore decided against taking the 19 year-old on loan.

The Southwark-born youngster has been a consistent performer for Fulham’s youth sides in recent seasons but was not afforded the opportunity of an extended run in the side after being handed his senior debut by Scott Parker in the FA Cup defeat at Manchester City in February 2019. He signed a three-year contract with the Whites last summer – an indication of just how highly he is rated at Motspur Park – and should join the U’s shortly.
