Fulham’s women made a fantastic start to their new season by winning 5-1 at Aylesford in their opening London and South East Regional Women’s League fixture this afternoon.
Romanian international Oana Negrea grabbed a hat-trick on her Fulham debut and a double from Megalie Mendes capped a fabulous first outing for Steve Jaye’s side. The Whites will hope to build on their bright start when they travel to Millwall for their second fixture next Sunday.
Fantastic unbeaten across all levels so far, back to the men though great to get Muniz in but I think we could d with a dominant centre back. Most of our problems this year and last came from high balls into the box. It would also be nice to grab a couple of goals from our centre backs, we don’t look at all threatening in the opposition box at set pieces. Bit picky maybe after the great start but we can always improve.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a few of the Women’s team.
Serious class in that squad! A talented group of winners and it shows on the pitch.
Great news about the women maybe get the odd game played at the Cottage agree with David get a really dominant CB what’s happened to Kongolo he’s played about 4 games we don’t really know how good he is and maybe play Anguissa abit more other than that all good so far
I thought Mawson looked very good on Saturday, he could give Marco a bit of a selection headache. My only question mark is Gazzaniga who doesn’t fill me with confidence or look any better than, or possibly as good as, Rodak. I hope Rodak gets a game tomorrow at Birmingham and shows what he can do.
