Sylvester Jasper has returned to Fulham after Sheffield Wednesday decided not to take him on loan following his pre-season trial.

Owls boss Darren Moore confirmed after last night’s win at Port Vale that the young Fulham winger had gone back to London, despite impressing him during his fortnight with the League One club. The 19 year-old featured in three matches for Wednesday and Fulham were willing to let the young prospect leave Craven Cottage on a temporary basis to further his development, but they will now consider his next move before the start of the EFL campaign.

The former England youth international, who extended his contract until 2023 last summer, has made three senior appearances for the Whites since being handed his debut by Scott Parker in an FA Cup defeat at Manchester City two years ago.
