Fulham may have to battle former boss Scott Parker to secure the signature of Swansea City skipper Matt Grimes, according to a Daily Mail report this morning.
Grimes has entered the final year of his contract at the Liberty Stadium and both Championship sides are keen to supplement their midfield options before the start of the new season. Bournemouth are eyeing potential replacements for Jefferson Lerma, while Fulham are particularly keen to add to their numbers in central midfielder after Mario Lemina’s loan spell from Southampton came to an end this summer. The 25 year-old is widely regarded as one of the Championship’s most consistent midfield operators and has made 124 appearances since signing from Exeter City in 2015.
The best deal would be for Harrison Reed going to Bournemouth and Grimes coming to Fulham. I suspect Reed would be keen to go to Bournemouth and reunite with Parker, where has really developed in a short space of time. I think this deal would suit everyone.
I’m sorry but selling Reed would be madness.
I think Garry must be a secret Bournemouth supporter. Why should we contemplate losing one of our best players
Garry, you are absolutely mental!
Bournemouth can have Grimes! The best deal would be for Fulham to keep Reed and recruit Will Hughes to play alongside him!
Sell Reed?! Are you mad?!? Why don’t u just bend me over, live up a broom handle 12 inches, and sweep me out the door! MADNESS
No Fulham player developed under Scott Parker.
Garry is definitely a TK supporter. Or a big time B’mouth fan. Rightly being called out for that nonsense
Chris, Tosin has come on leaps and bounds since he joined under Parker.
Fulham are always linked to every player with 2 working legs and thern sign none of them . We watch them all sign for other clubs instead .
Jack wiltshire is a free agent at the moment . He could be a massive signing in the middle of midfiekl . Someone will give him a break , but it wont be us thats for sure .
Not sure I’d take the punt on Wilshere if I’m honest – injury prone and consistent performances seem to be a thing of the past with him. Plus he’d be on a big pay packet.
We definitely don’t want Wiltshire he is well past his sell by date.
Wiltshire a waste of space. Must keep Harrison Reed and Toshin, all gone quite on that front. We desperately need another quality central defender
We definitely need a centre forward as we can’t start another season with 1 striker. Hopefully they’ve learnt that lesson. A small quick option to supplement Mitro.
Obviously Rodak needs a no.2
Other than that I’d be happy if we signed nobody as long as we kept all the permanent players. Yes a CB would be nice but we have 1 outstanding young prospect already so either Ream, Hector or Mawson can compete for the other spot. On balance I’d take that if we kept everyone
We’ve missed our chance to get a half-price Messi on a free, so may as well go for the next best thing in Grimes.
