Dijon are making a concerted attempt to sign Fulham defender Maxime Le Marchand, according to French press reports this afternoon.
Regional daily newspaper Le Bien Public claims that the Owls are extremely interested in adding Le Marchand, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Royal Antwerp, to their backline and have held initial discussions with Fulham. The 31 year-old defender has made 48 appearances for Fulham since moving to Craven Cottage in the summer of 2018 and has another remaining on his current contract.
Dijon, who took Aboubakar Kamara on loan last season, were relegated from Ligue 1 last term and made a disappointing start to their Ligue 2 campaign on Monday night, losing 3-1 to Sochaux.
Good news, let him go
Should be an easy decision, but I think the fact we renewed his contract is related to the way his/Seri’s fee was legally split and a way to smooth out the cost for FFP purposes.
That said I have no interest in seeing le Marchand play for Fulham again, even if he leaves on a one year loan with no fee – just get him gone!
Le Marchand …. adieu!
Seri …. adieu.
If Dijon think they have made a poor start to the season st wait till he goes there, they are clearly setting their sights low, very low.
Honest player, just rubbish.
Off load him and Seri
