Timmy Abraham is heading back to Fulham after Cheltenham Town decided against taking him on loan at the conclusion of his pre-season trial.

The 20 year-old has struggled to make an impact at Fulham after signing from Charlton Athletic in 2017. He has been loaned out to Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Raith Rovers over the past year and teamed up with Michael Duff’s side in pre-season ahead of a proposed loan move.

The young forward played in three friendlies for Cheltenham – scoring twice against Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday night – but Duff has opted not to initiate a deal ahead of the new League One campaign.
