A clutch of Premier League clubs are plotting a summer swoop for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who can leave Craven Cottage for £10m.
The 23 year-old centre half was one of Scott Parker’s most impressive performers as the Cottagers slipped out of the top flight having helped shore up the Fulham defence alongside Joachim Andersen. Adarabioyo is available for £10m until July 8th under the terms of the contract he signed when he decided to leave Manchester City for London last summer.
The ball-playing centre back, who made 33 appearances for Fulham last term, has no shortage of admirers in the top flight. Mikel Arteta, who worked with the defender when he was assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City is known to rate him highly and could take him to Arsenal. Newly-promoted Norwich City have been credited with an interest in bolstering their backline with Adarabioyo, while the Daily Mail also lists Newcastle as one of the sides monitoring the situation.
What kind of Director of football allows that to happen-it’s the wrestling specialist who does a bit of data analysis on the side!
If we let any of Tosin, Robinson or HR leave then that will say a lot about who we are. These guys were the very small positive out of last season and must stay if we have any ambition of getting back up.
I can see an argument for Cairney to go. I personally really hope he stays but he is getting on and let’s be honest his knees won’t be getting less injury prone so with no real resale value a big offer may be acceptable. If it were me I’d still keep him. If he is fit he can run championship games.
Same for Mitro. It’s clear he can’t play for a manager that thinks Cav is a better finisher than him. It’s hard to take anything Parker says seriously after that blunder. So if Parker stays Mitro will probably go. I think that one has probably gone too far.
But where is the leadership from the club on all this? Tell us what’s happening…what’s the plan? Those Khan statements are just vanilla drivel. What’s the plan Tony? Do your job else please go. Part of your job is to tell the fans what the strategy is.
