Nigerian international Ola Aina proved an invaluable utility man during an encouraging loan spell from Torino in 2020/21, despite Fulham’s relegation. Featuring right across the Whites defence, that was improved by his inclusion, Aina quietly shone in a side that looked all at sea during a shambolic start to the season. He cracked home a superb strike from distance to secure Fulham’s first league win over West Bromwich Albion and became a regular in Scott Parker’s back five, but ultimately the Whites were left with too much to do to stay up.
