Mario Lemina added steel and Premier League savvy to a Fulham midfield lacking both when he signed on loan from Southampton in August 2020. The Gabonese international became a tenacious part of the engine room, memorably lashing home his only goal for the Whites to clinch a famous win at Anfield when Scott Parker looked like he had found the formula to keep Fulham up. That proved a false dawn but Lemina returned to the south coast with his reputation in credit despite relegation.
