Fulham defender Maxime Le Marchand has joined Royal Antwerp until the end of the season on loan.
The 31 year-old, who can play in central defence or at left back, has made 48 appearances since joining Fulham from Nice in July 2018 but struggled for first team football at Craven Cottage this season. Le Marchand’s only start this term came in the 1-0 defeat at Wolves in October and he has only played four games in total this term.
Antwerp are currently second in the Belgian Pro League, fourteen points behind Club Brugge, and in contention to qualify for the Europa League.
I think this a good move for everyone, he is a good technical player but better suited to Belgian football because EPL is too fast and physical for him.
