Reports in France claim that Dijon are confident of beating Middlesbrough to the loan signing of Fulham forward Aboubakar Kamara.

Neil Warnock’s side had opened talks over taking the 25 year-old to the north east for the remainder of the season earlier this afternoon, but the French side believe they have concluded a deal offering Kamara an opportunity to return to France. Téléfoot Chaine are reporting that there is no option to buy in the agreement between Dijon, who are currently second bottom of Ligue 1, and the Londoners.

Kamara has scored seventeen goals in 89 appearances since joining Fulham for £5m from Amiens in July 2017. He helped the Whites win promotion twice from the Championship, but has made just fourteen appearances this season, scoring once – in the League Cup against Sheffield Wednesday. His departure could pave the way for Scott Parker to strengthen his squad by bringing in another striker.
