Fulham midfielder Jean-Michael Seri is about to join Bordeaux on a season-long loan, according to various reports this afternoon.

The Ivory Coast international, who spent last season on loan at Galatasary, has made just two appearances for Fulham this term – both in the early rounds of the League Cup, against Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford. His only start was a disappointing display in the 3-0 defeat by Fulham’s local rivals – and Seri was not named in Scott Parker’s 25-man Premier League squad subsequently.

The 29 year-old, whose spell at Craven Cottage petered out after a bright start following his £25m from Nice in July 2018, had been the subject of a long pursuit by Galatasaray, who took him on loan following Fulham’s relegation from the top flight. Seri has decided to join Bordeaux, currently seventh in Ligue 1, as he is excited about working under manager Jean-Louis Gasset, according to reports in France.
