Fulham striker Timmy Abraham has joined Raith Rovers for the remainder of the season on loan.

The 20 year-old made just appearances at League One Plymouth Argyle earlier this season before his loan spell at Home Park was terminated early and a move to Scotland is seen as an opportunity to gain further first-team football. Abraham, the brother of Chelsea and England striker Tammy, spent the second half of last season with Bristol Rovers, again making four appearances and not scoring a goal.

He has scored four goals in 23 appearances for Fulham’s under 23s and netted twelve times in 36 games for the under-18 side after moving from Charlton Athletic. Abraham has made just one appearance for Colin Omogbehin and Mark Pembridge’s outfit this term and will be hoping to add firepower to Raith’s push for promotion from the Scottish Championship. Rovers are currently in fourth place, two points behind Dundee, with a game in hand. Those two sides face each other at Stark’s Park tomorrow afternoon.
