French winger Anthony Knockaert has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until January, Fulham have confirmed this evening.
The former Leicester and Brighton wide man arrived at Craven Cottage from Albion on loan at the start of last season. Knockaert scored five goals in 39 appearances as Scott Parker’s side were promoted from the Championship via the play-offs and Fulham paid a reported £10m to convert his loan into a permanent move. The 28 year-old has not featured in the league at all so far this season with his only Fulham appearances coming in the League Cup.
Knockaert, who had previously worked with newly appointed Forest boss Chris Hughton at Brighton, will team up with Cyrus Christie, who is also on loan at Forest, at the City Ground. The deal includes an option for the Championship club to buy Knockaert permanently.
Well I can only imagine we had a clause that required we bought him after so many games. But what a waste of money.

Don’t understand this at all. He always played with passion and I feel he wasn’t given a chance this season bearing in mind the players who were given a chance have hardly set the world alight?
I understand that he didn’t score as many goals as liked but he was always a goal threat and did track back and defend. There was obviously something else going on behind the scenes…. I trust Parker to do the right thing but still I am disappointed AK didn’t get a better go at FFC.
What is going on AK is a little terrier Ok he might have not have performed that well sometimes but what about Cavaleiro Cairney etc who have got in over AK he had more assists than others, always played with passion I hope this comes back and bites Tony Khan on the Arse,I shall miss the little man hope we get him back in January, are there any teams looking for a D of F because I will drive him to the station
Certainly doesn’t make sense that we actually signed Knockaert permanently for a great deal of money AFTER he had shown that he wasn’t good enough for the Championship. Along with the Cavaleiro and Decordova Reid conversions from loans to permanent deals, this represents a HUGE waste of money.
At least with Knockaert, we had a guy who always worked his socks off for the cause unlike the other two. Cavaleiro in particular, having been given the opportunities to start in the Premiership, has only confirmed that, yet again, when it comes to throwing money away, Tony Khan is king.
The fact that we have not brought in a quality striker in either window is simply unbelievable and will come back to haunt us in due course.

Why are people complaining about this? Did anyone actually see how useless he was last season and this season in the carabao cup and only showed parts of his quality. The only reason we got him permanently was because of an obligation to buy. Working hard can only get you so far in premier league.
